Boating in River Indus

Local people used boats to transport passengers and agricultural products on both banks of River Indus in Dera Ismail Khan since centuries. They do it even today but due to the construction of Chashma Barrage in the north and bridge in the south situation has completely changed.

Who looted my city?

Before 1947 my city, Dera Ismail Khan was a wonderful place in the sub continent but today it stands looted. The city was built on the right bank of River Indus by British architects in 1901. Powerful motorboats were in use to transport people from right bank to the left. SS Jehlum was a ship that ruled this mighty river during world war. Now the ship is sitting at the bottom of the river and motorboats are in dismal condition. Local government must take action and put them on display as community heritage.
